Enjoying international renown and featuring regularly among the world’s top ten universities of art and design, ECAL is directed by Alexis Georgacopoulos. International Film Festival for Fine Crafts – FIFMA is an invitation to
discover fine craft professions from around the world, through image
and cinema. The 10th edition of the biennale festival created in 1998 by
Ateliers d’Art de France in Montpellier chose to settle in 2016, in
partnership with the agglomeration community Est Ensemble (“East
Together”), in Montreuil and Pantin. Through a large selection of
documentaries, dramas and experimental films, accompanied by encounters,
exhibitions and other events which invite exchanging and sharing, the
FIFMA reveals the secrets of a unique creative universe.
The FIFMA returns March 8-11, 2018 at the Méliès cinema in Montreuil and, for the FIFMA for Schools – a dedicated parcours for primary, secondary and high schools of Seine-Saint-Denis – at the Méliès, the Ciné 104 in Pantin and the Cin’Hoche in Bagnolet.
Between each edition, the FIFMA also proposes, in connection with several partners, screenings of films from the festival previous editions, in France and abroad.
Musée Ariana – Swiss museum for ceramics and glass
Devoted to European, Middle- and Far-Eastern ceramics and European glass, with a collection of over 27,000 pieces covering an extensive period from medieval times to the present day, the Musée Ariana is the only such institution in Switzerland – and one of the most important of its kind in the world.
